So finally we have a name for the newest entrant in the Bachchan family - 'Beti B'.
Yes after Big B, Jr B we now have a 'Beti B' and the name has been anointed by none other than the father himself.
Abhishek Bachchan can hardly contain the happiness of donning the new role of that of a father and he readily accepted this name suggested to him by a friend on twitter.
"And till we find a name for the little lady a dear friend @ShahanaGoswami gave me a great one."
He is also going all out interacting with fans and asking for name suggestions, he tweeted: "And suggestions for names are very welcome guys. Something with "A".
Relative, friends and fans have been suggesting many likely names for the new baby.
Voracious social networker and Aishwarya Rai's father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan acknowledged all suggestions for names for the infant sent in by fans, saying "some of them really good ... will run it by the parents .. !!"
Amitabh Bachchan also refers her as 'little one' in all his blog and tweets.
The news of Aishwarya's baby has generated more interest than any other in the past few days. Morphed photographs of the mother and baby were doing the rounds.
But Amitabh Bachchan has put all that to rest and said that the pictures were all fake.
The family is now preparing and eagerly waiting for the mother and daughter to come home.
Amitabh wrote "T 565 - Difficult to tear yourself away from the 'little one' , but now home to replay videos and stills and wait for her to come home ..!"
Amitabh Bachchan also revealed more details of the birth of his granddaughter on twitter and his official blog.
He clarified contrary to what was reported by media that Ash did not go for C-section. Aishwarya opted to have a normal delivery, without epidural or painkillers.
This news was widely circulated and also offended many. Big B was advised not to let out such details about the birth of his granddaughter.
This did not go well with the actor and fired back in his blog.
"They warn me of dire consequences by mentioning details of the delivery or about Aishwarya. Why ? Do they have a monopoly on my family ? Are they the only ones that have an access to my personal matters ? So If they write and mention and talk about it, its fine ! Not the other way round ? Not acceptable. particularly when they are misreporting incorrect details !!"
While Abhishek is enjoying his fatherhood, Amitabh Bachchan is already looking forward to start the process of being a grandfather.

The actress is on the fifth floor of the luxury private hospital in Andheri east.
The hospital had booked three rooms on the floor — one for Aishwarya, the other for the Bachchan family and the third for the Rai family. The entire floor was kept out of bounds for all except the two families.
The hospital has been under tight security for the past three days in expectation of the youngest member of the Bachchan family.
Aishwarya was admitted to the hospital Monday night, according to her spokesperson.
The Bachchan family had been waiting for the baby’s arrival for a few days and preparing for the child’s welcome.
The girl is Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s third grandchild, after Agastya and Navya Naveli — children of his daughter Shweta and son-in-law Nikhil Nanda.
Aishwarya tied the knot with Abhishek in April 2007 and rumours about her pregnancy had been doing the rounds ever since.
In June this year, when Amitabh announced her pregnancy through Twitter, it grabbed the headlines.
A 10-point advisory by the Broadcast Editor’s Association (BEA) reportedly asked TV channel heads to curtail media coverage regarding the high-profile delivery.

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s golden couple, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her husband Abhishek, became proud parents for the first time on Wednesday with the birth of a baby girl who joins a celebrated acting dynasty.
India’s normally breathless television news channels only made passing reference to the birth, however, keeping to an agreement among broadcasters to restrain their reporting of the family’s private life. Former Miss World Rai Bachchan, 38, gave birth at the private Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai, hospital staff told AFP.
“IT’S A GIRL!,” Abhishek, 35, wrote on his Twitter account,@juniorbachchan, without giving any further details. Bachchan’s father, Bollywood legend Amitabh, tweeted his joy at the new arrival:
“A dada ji (a grandfather)…Ecstatic!”, calling his new granddaughter “the cutest baby girl”. Amitabh is already a grandfather as his daughter, Shweta Nanda, has two children. Media coverage of the event was muted even though Rai Bachchan and her husband are top stars and, along with Amitabh and his actress wife Jaya, are considered to be Bollywood’s “royal family”.
Bachchan senior — a compulsive blogger and tweeter — has had a prickly relationship with the media in the past and has criticised outlets that misrepresent him or intrude on his family’s privacy.
Last week broadcasters reportedly agreed on an unprecedented series of measures, including not to trail the event in advance or even run the announcement on “breaking news” captions.
News channels, which are normally highly competitive, all appeared to be toeing the line by avoiding rolling coverage of the birth, although it was mentioned in brief.
Outside broadcast vans were not sent to Bachchan’s home or the hospital, while astrology shows, which are popular in India to forecast future fortunes, have also reportedly been ruled off-limits. Instead, it was left to the Internet for fans to wish the Bachchans well as congratulations poured in via Twitter, with #BabyB quickly trending among Indian users of the micro-blogging site. Among fellow celebrities, Bollywood director and family friend Karan Johar wrote:
“Congratulations!! Baby B had a baby girl!!… am sure she will be the prettiest girl ever!!!”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took the Miss World crown in 1994 and made her debut in Bollywood in the late 1990s. She has since gone on to star in more than 40 Indian films.
She was most recently seen in the South Indian film blockbuster “Endhiran” (Robot) with the Tamil-language superstar Rajinikanth, which broke box office records in India.
She has also appeared as a jewel thief in Steve Martin’s “The Pink Panther 2″. Her other English-language films include “Bride and Prejudice” (2004), by “Bend It Like Beckham” director Gurinder Chadha, and “The Last Legion” (2007).
Before her pregnancy was announced, she was at this year’s Cannes film festival to promote her latest project “Heroine”.
Filming had been due to start this year but in June its producers said the movie had been put on hold because of the pregnancy.
The moment has finally arrived! Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai has given birth to a baby girl at Seven Hills Hospital on November 16. The Bachchan clan was eagerly waiting for the new arrival. Grandfather Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !!" Aishwarya was admitted to the seven star hospital on Tuesday morning. Amitabh Bachchan had posted on his Twitter account, "A day of expectation .. but another day ! The Lord has his ways and they are most special .. we wait !!"
Aishwarya had also paid visit to the Seven Hills Hospital for a check-up on Saturday night as well as Sunday evening, according to the sources.
"The family gathers together from all over as we wait for the 'arrival' .. Greatest joy for me - a full house and the 'chahel - pahel'", said a tweet from Aishwarya's father-in-law.
Congratulatory messages from across the world are pouring in for mom Ash.
